The Happytime Murders Movie review

well, where to begin. this definitely isn't the puppets you grew up watching. this a hard gritty adult comedy version of those puppets. This movie tells the story of an ex-cop puppet named Phil who ends up getting caught in the chaos that is the murder of a television cast of a tv show called "The Happytime gang" kids show centered around puppets while working on another case. the world of this film is centered around puppets and humans living together in unharmony in a thinly veiled metaphor for racism. the television show is about to placed into syndication for reruns and all of the cast members are about to split the 10 million dollars payout plus residuals. However, each member starts to killed off one by one.

the trailer for this movie did nothing to help the film whatsoever. the trailer was filled with the most raunchy and somewhat offputting parts of the film. the parts shown in the trailer were grosser than they were funny and are a big tonal shift from the actual storyline of the film. if they had shortened these parts or cut them entirely it could have improved the overall appeal and maybe gained a wider audience and larger box office numbers. the movie overall grossed around 28 million dollars at the box office on a budget of 40 million. So not spectacular and hopes of a sequel are looking pretty grim. which is unfortunate for the movie because it had so much potential but the marketing strategy hurt the turnout. if they had shown more of the cop dark comedy rather than scary movie Esque parody version the movie could have been a box office hit, spawn a potential franchise and big win for Melissa McCarthy. the story of the movie is great and was very enjoyable, it has its low points but it's an entertaining movie about puppets cops solving murders. I would recommend giving it a chance, who knows you might find yourself wanting to give it a second viewing. I would give a 7/10. its a good time but there is room for improvement.

Scream Mtv series

So I was able to catch up on the recent adaptation of the popular movie franchise Scream for Mtv. I can definitely say that i was pleasantly surprised by how well done the show was made.   while it may have been very different from the movies, it still had a similar feel to the movies. The only problem I had with the show was that a majority of the plot was taken from the first and third movies, especially when the killer was revealed. The best episode of the series was episode 7, which took place in the bowling alley. The series paid homage to the original films while creating its own story.  while it is not the best series out there, I would recommend that you try to watch it. Overall I would give this show a 7 out of 10, since it still has room to improve. the good news is that it has been renewed for a second season in the summer of 2016.

Music Madness

The epic soundtrack to the movie Divergent was releases about two weeks ago. I think the soundtrack overall fits the movie very well which is very hard to do. I got the deluxe edition and I have to say that is was definitely worth it. the deluxe version came with three exclusive tracks. For me cover art is a huge part of what gets me to by certain version of an album. I am not a huge fan of the cover art for the deluxe version but I think that it is better than the regular album. Ellie Goulding was the main artist on the soundtrack, and even though I, not being a huge fan of her, was pleasantly surprised by her songs on the soundtrack. the soundtrack featured the song "Dead in the water" from her album "Halcyon Days" .  the album featured artist M83, Tame Impala feat.(Kendrick Lamar), Banks, Woodkid, Skrillex, Snow Patrol, and more. One of the songs I feel fit the movie particularly well was "I Need You" by M83. This song was played during the zip lining scene and was a wonderful addition to the movie. Most movie soundtracks don't do as well of a job fitting to the movie but this one did exceptionally well. Overall I would give this soundtrack a 9 out of 10. I would definitely recommend that you go out and buy the deluxe edition because it is worth it. I hope you all enjoyed this Music Madness tune in next time for some more music news and reviews.

Music news

I am going to star changing some things on this blog, but I'll talk about that more another time. what I wanted to talk about today was the motion picture soundtrack for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire.  First things first, I want to talk about how amazing the cover of the soundtrack looks. I love all the read and the fire effects on the cover. I think it is perfect for the film. the cover of the soundtrack is also the poster for the film which looks amazing ( I will uploading a trailer review for Catching Fire soon). the single that was released so far "atlas" by Coldplay is no that bad. I have not listened to Coldplay before so I did not know what to expect from this song and I wasn't let down.  I am excited to hear the rest of the soundtrack. I hope you guys will look forward to the new sections I am going to be adding. But the thing is post are going to be  less frequent since I now have a busier schedule once again, but I will try to get at least 4 or more post a month. I will see you guys again with more news.

Music Madness

I'm back again. Today I am going to talk about Ariana Grande's debut album "Yours Truly". overall thoughts I love this album. She has an amazing voice and I think that she is going to have a great music career ahead of her. The album consist of 13 amazing tracks. Some of my favorite songs one her album are "almost is never enough", "Piano", "Tattooed Heart". I love all the songs but hose are just some of my favorites. Honestly I think that everyone should buy her album and help support her career. She has a amazing road ahead of her.  over all I give the album a 10 out of 10. I hope you all enjoyed and I will see you all next time for the next music madness when I do a review of Avril Lavinge's new self titled album. See you next!

Divergent trailer

I am so excited to talk about this. this trailer is amazing. looking at this trailer makes me so excited for the movie.  from the looks of it this movie will be true to the book unlike other books that have been turned into movie that did not be true to the book (*cough, cough, percy Jackson, cough, cough*) I am even more excited for the movie and can't wait till march. I am sad though since it doesn't come out until march.  that means there is about seven months of waiting until I can see this movie. I know that I will be seeing it on the day it comes out. I don't know about you but am going to see this movie many times.  tell me what you guys think about the trailer down in the comments below and i'll see you all next time with some more movie news.
